The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of North Carolina has announced that its Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system will be unavailable due to routine maintenance starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, February 21. The outage is expected to last most of the day.

During this period, users who need to submit emergency or time-sensitive filings can do so by emailing PDF files to ncmbml_intake@ncmb.uscourts.gov. Court staff will monitor this email address and confirm receipt of filings. Users will also be informed that documents must be filed through CM/ECF once the system becomes available again, which is anticipated to be Sunday, February 22.

According to the court, “If the document is timely filed via CM/ECF as directed, it will be deemed filed as of the time the email filing was received by the Clerk’s Office. If the document is not timely filed via CM/ECF as directed, it will be deemed filed when it is, in fact, filed via CM/ECF.”

The court apologized for any inconvenience caused by this temporary disruption.
