The U.S. District Court announced on Mar. 27 proposed changes to its Local Civil Rules and Local Criminal Rules, inviting public comment on the amendments.
The proposed rule changes are important for legal practitioners and members of the public who interact with the court system, as they could affect procedures in both civil and criminal cases.

The court has asked that written comments regarding these proposals be submitted either by email to LocalRuleComments@ncmd.uscourts.gov or by mail addressed to Larry Cunningham, Clerk of the U.S. District Court at 324 W. Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401.
The period for submitting comments ends on Friday, April 17, 2026; all feedback must be received or postmarked by that date in order to be considered.
